La competencia, que fue desarrollada en conjunto con grupos de investigación de la Universidad Tecnológica de Austria, Universidad Federal de Paraná (Brazil) y Orand S.A (Chile), finalizó con la presentación de los resultados durante la International Conference on Frontiers of Handwriting Recognition realizada entre el 1 y 4 de septiembre, 2014, en la isla de Creta, Grecia. Además, durante este evento se premió al equipo ganador que estuvo formado por Yi-Chao Wu, Fei Yin, Chang Zhong, y Cheng-Lin Liu, investigadores del National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition y del Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences (China). La organización reconoce y felicita al equipo ganador por los logros alcanzados como también expresa reconocimiento al equipo formado por Byron Leite y Cleber Zanchettin de la Universidad de Pernambuco (Brazil), por obtener el segundo lugar con resultados altamente competitivos.
Como resultado de este evento, hemos hecho públicos los conjunto de datos de evaluación ORAND-CAR-2014 y CVL, los cuales permitirán continuar con el desarrollo del área de recococimiento de texto manuscrito.
This competition, that was jointly co-organized with researchers from the Vienna University of Technology, Austria, Federal University of Parana, Brazil, and Orand S.A, Chile, has finished presenting the achieved results during the International Conference on Frontiers of Handwriting Recognition that took place in Greece between September 1rst and 4rd. During this event the winner team, formed by Yi-Chao Wu, Fei Yin, Chang Zhong, and Cheng-Lin Liu from the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition and the Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences (China), was awarded. The HDSRC organization congratulates the winner team for its outstanding achievements. This organization also acknowledges the second best team, formed by Byron Leite and Cleber Zanchettin from the University of Pernambuco, Brazil, for its very competitive performance.
As a result of this event, we have released the two evaluation datasets ORAND-CAR-2014 and CVL, which allow the researchers to continue working and developing the field on handwriting recognition.
